Hardware GrantHARDWARE GRANTS FOR NON-PROFITSPLEASE NOTE: Due to the high volume of grant applications in the queue, we will not be able to consider new applications until October. Please take this into consideration when filling out the form below. We will however still be accepting applications in the meantime." Who is eligible Grants are made to local organisations, specifically not-for-profit organisations, and not to individuals. A non-profit may choose to sponsor an individual who is unable to participate in the Adoption program. We grant hardware to non-profit and social change organisations in British Columbia. We may consider applications from other Canadian communities, but please note: we CANNOT provide for any kind of shipping. You *must* be able to come to Free Geek and pick up the granted hardware. NOTE: registered political parties are NOT eligible for hardware grants. What is availableFree Geek does not have any spare money - these grants are for hardware only, primarily systems (which come installed with Free and Open Source Software). All systems come with monitor, mouse, keyboard and power cables. Equipment we have in stock and probably will be able to give to qualifying organisations without hassle:
Extremely unlikely equipment (sometimes we just don't have it) includes:
We may tend to be a little short on RAM or other parts, especially for the newer systems. Remember -- we are only able to grant what people have given us (equipment they were getting rid of anyways). Please note: We may only be able to partially fill a grant. |
